Remainder of family stranded

Where's the rest of my bloody family??

Stranded at shitty heathrow waiting for BA to sort their backlog of
flights from cancelling every flight yesterday due to heavy
fog...........

They were told 8:30am departure but are already an hour behind
schedule. Poor Chris's flight was on time (he'd always been on a
flight to arrive 9:30 this morning) so he'll have to sit there, bored
to death, at the worlds most boring airport-Geneva as I'm not going to
get him and then sit around waiting for another 3 hours for the rest?
Heaven knows how I'll fit seven of us into the car on way back as
luggage will fill the boot??

My three here are off skiing with Mark, Caroline, Joey and Graham -
why do I get the feeling the majority of my holiday is gonna be spent
sodding about driving everyone back & forth constantly and hardly
skiing??

Oh well, roll on Xmas.

2nd day out on the slopes....

Awesome 1st Day!!

Early finish though.........

Got up 7am as alarm on phone still on thinking it was a school day.
Good start that; after saying we were having a lie-in!!

Sorted season passes for us four - wow! Steep or what at 2k in euros
but it is cheaper than buying for each Xmas, Feb & Easter holiday.
Generally it gets cheaper if you do more than 15 days in a season.

Snow awesome, especially after last years disaster. Plently of base
down and no bare patches - no more forecast for next few days though
so I wonder how slopes will cope with the hordes? Got on slopes by
9:30 and virtually empty, and that's not an
exageration.....................soon understood why though; naff-all
open! 6-person from bottom, no orange bubble, slow chair at
chavvannes, no drags and the fast 6-chair back from La Rosta only. So
can't ski La Rosta, and can't ski down to Nyon, etc, etc. Could take
sweeping blue to magic carpet chair to get over to Morzone though
which we did but its bizarre; we've never enjoyed Morzine so quickly
headed back over. Went for drink at 11 and then realised wallet in car
at chavvannes so kids skies down to collect with bar staff convinced I
was gonna do a runner so watched me like a hawk.

Did a couple more runs and called it an early day - cowards but think
everyone still tired? Suits me as still knackered plus its boring with
only a few runs open.

Really odd in that you've got acres of real snow after the crappy dry
slopes in the UK and you can moan about only having 20km's to
ski...............???

Still; can now watch Star Wars that I fell asleep to last night!!

Am also going to consider my next new purchase. Am thinking about a
RED lid as lots of decent freestylers have them and I so want to be
like them and "in" with them. Also gonna change my email address to wannabe@mac.com

This Morning

1st day, leaving to go..............

Have I enough skis

and those I have.............surely they are below my ability??

Just wondering aloud after purchasing my Scotts last Friday are they
really good enough for me? Does having four sets of skis really allow
myself to express myself?

I like Rick - ex of LINE skis and think he's my hero. Will check with
him but I think, maybe, over the next 2-3 months I'll order every set
of skis LINE produce. I need them - I just know I do

Then I'll be the best dressed and kitted out skier around.

Ability; f**k ability - its about how good I look!!!

Surely....................................??

Getting Ready for 2007 Xmas Trip

And off we're going...........

Into bartletts to get a load more gear and spend some more
money.........

Can't complain though, they do look after us?????

Told them I was loaded and wanted a charge account and had no idea
about skis, skiing or freestyling and they welcomed me with open arms.
"The more big-spending idiots who don't have a clue and just buy what
they read about in the mags the better" Excellent - I want to be their
biggest mug.

So I ordered four different types of skis to go with the six pairs I
already own - I'm gonna look so good and everyone's gonna think I'm
ace despite the fact I can't ski for shite........
